We make it easy to find and interact with reasonable (open-minded and critical) people. i.e. Those who consistently change their mind when it would clearly be inconsistent (given one's axioms) not to, and who are decent at reasoning in general.

Most people here do not fit that description! But there are a relatively large number who do, and if you prove your reasoning, you will be given access to a private category that is only meant for very reasonable people.



Elaboration:

Open-mindedness (ability to change one's own mind when it would clearly be inconsistent not to) is considered about twice as important as criticalness (ability to initially arrive at true beliefs and avoid false ones) here.

This is because we care more about one's long-term consistency than their short-term consistency, and open-mindedness (particularly when surrounded by decently critical people) tends to have a greater impact on the former than criticalness.

We are a community that is not solely dedicated to any single interest or hobby. We discuss a wide variety of topics including philosophy, psychology, socioeconomics, everyday life stuff, music, etc.
