The Lot is a film Discord with the goal of creating a cozy and welcoming environment for film discussion and appreciation! We are a close-knit and very international community, with a tailor-made Letterboxd bot, providing us with just about any type of stat you could wish for (and a lot more things you didn't know you needed).

Server events include weekly film roulette, movie of the week, monthly server lists, director of the month, and a range of other rotating events such as kinolympics, our world cinema bracket event.

Our members range from casual to hardcore movie fans, enjoying everything from new blockbuster releases to classic art house films.

We are an intersectional server for non-Humans (Alt+H, the VC, Therianthropes, etc) and the Plural Community! We celebrate diversity and multiplicity here with a focus on shared experiences as our community grows up...and grows out of spaces for young people.

The absence of mature-oriented spaces where respectful questions can receive respectful answers is incredibly unhelpful and isolating....ESPECIALLY SO for a young person.

Non-Human people still grow up, though. Oftentimes, we grow up alone, and have to get through moral and emotional trials on our own. This is how our community gets associated with dangerous and amoral people: not talking about the serious shit while people are trying to understand that thing in the mirror.
