Progressive Mens Advocacy is a diverse but relatively small umbrella of leftists, humanitarians, gender egalitarians, anti-traditionalists, progressives and other gender dissidents that would like to rectify structural inequalities or rights issues primarily affecting men on the global level.

We bring unique perspectives to gender politics that you won't be able to find anywhere else.

Issues affecting men are invisiblised but very real: the global male conscription system, male genital mutilation, anti-immigrant brutality, war crimes and genocides, the gendered division of labour, exclusion of male victims from laws against rape & violence and rigid gender norms.

- We are distinct from the reactionary ‘Mens Rights’ Movement, which uses the issues we care about for their concern trolling. This server is not for generic MRAs, but those who actually believe in mens rights issues.

- We are distinct from the mainstream ‘Mens Liberation’ Movement. We do not want to impose ideological frameworks on members because we value diversity.

This server is home to the House of Strangers.

We are a growing community of Zaydi Muslims based in the Americas. Together, we learn about and explore our faith as muslims in the 21st century.

We believe that Islam is a living tradition that elevates the positive aspects of a particular culture or society while forbidding any harmful or dangerous practices that are no longer needed for a healthy, thriving society.

We affirm the five pillars of Islam and recognize the Zaydi Imamate as the primary and sole authority of our community. We also believe in the beauty of God's diversity, that diversity among people is intentional and to be celebrated as one of His many signs.

In the absence of an Imam, knowledgeable members of the community are required to step forward and act as da'i - callers, who actively seek out a worthy Imam while also doing da'wah and spreading Islam.

The goal of this server is to create a localized network of Zaydi Muslims in the West, help them educate themselves properly on Zaydi Islam, and then teach them to be da'i to seek out our Imam. Inshallah.
