Railbound is a fully original 18+ fantasy RP server blending high-magic fantasy with an early industrial, 1910s-inspired steampunk setting.

Thirty years ago, the Doranswyr Republic collapsed after Imperator Vegard Ragon marched into the Capital and slaughtered the Senate. Now, ten city-states stand isolated in a lawless wilderness, connected only by guarded rail lines. Some dream of restoring the Republic. Others believe Ragon was right. Many simply see a chance to reshape the continent for themselves.

Your character joins one of four independent mercenary guilds, each with its own place in the changing world. Whether they are a fighter, scholar, merchant, criminal, noble, zealot, inventor, or wanderer, their choices can leave a real mark on Doranswyr.

In 2097, nearly two decades after the official dissolution of the United States, the North American heartland is dominated by the powerful nation of New Holland, the largest of the three successor countries that rose from the collapse. Forged in the chaos of climate catastrophe, food wars, and political breakdown, New Holland built its identity around stability and survival, controlling vast freshwater reserves and the continent’s most productive agricultural zones.

At its helm is President Madame Ohanaka Silverthorne, now in her ninth year in office, who first rose to prominence as a crisis leader promising order amid famine and unrest. Over time, however, emergency powers meant to be temporary became permanent, elections became ceremonial, and dissent was reframed as sabotage. Through an expansive civil guard presence and the shadowy Directorate, her feared special services task force branch, Ohanaka Silverthorne maintains a suffocating surveillance state that monitors citizens through biometric IDs, predictive algorithms, and ever-present patrols.

The media hails her as the Steward of Renewal, the woman who prevented New Holland from descending into the anarchy that destroyed the old republic. Yet beneath the surface of controlled cities and towering vertical farms, resentment grows. A scattered but increasingly organized resistance works in secret to expose corruption and restore democratic governance, while Ohanaka Silverthorne tightens her grip, convinced that only unwavering authority stands between civilization and collapse.

Sucede en un ambiente aaaalgo urbano (Tampoco todo), tú sabes…mafias, cazarrecompensas, la facción de los legionarios o el OGM (Organización del gobierno mundial) con sus fuertes guerreros y jerarquía. Puedes tener personajes afiliados a alguno de estos bandos o ocupar otro rol aquí, tu decides quien quieres ser.
Si bien se menciona lo urbano, hay elementos mágicos/fantásticos e incluso un toque de RNG si es que te gusta, aquí existen criaturas sobrenaturales y algo similar a los Quirks de My Hero Academia o las Devil Fruits de One Piece, que pues aquí se llaman “Esencias”.
