Hi! Thanks for checking out New Olympia! This is Roleplaying Server dedicated to writing both SFW and NSFW stories in an original modern Super Hero setting. We only allow 18+ users to join!

It has been two years since the Earth's #1 Superhero, Lady Blacklight, heroically sacrificed herself to save the planet from the mega asteroid, Kronos. With her fall, The Department of Metahuman Efficiency, better known as DOME, has scrambled to ensure that order and control are kept over the metahuman community. As both personal, political, and global tensions rise, however, the world is in need of new heroes to protect it, especially with the looming terrors on the horizon.

This server is a play-by-post roleplaying server, organized into individual roleplaying rooms for one-on-one or multi-player group RP. Characters are submitted for approval to the server's setting VIA provided templates. All writers are expected to be literate, can write in paragraph/multiple paragraph length, and keep writing to third person, past tense. We are happy to answer questions as they come along!

This is an OC only role-playing based server where you claim abilities from other sources of media to give your characters powers, develop their story with others, and become either the most threatening villan in the world or the most famous hero of all time.

In this server, there are heros and villans, where they both struggle for power, fighting for structure, chaos, and most importantly for heros: fame.

This server takes heavy inspiration from The Boys, My Hero Academia, and The X-Men. While not a direct copy, do expect lots of parallels in the world building.

The year is 2025. Eighteen years after the first Enhanced appeared, the volcanic island of New Avalon stands as the center of the modern world. The International Bureau of Enhanced writes the laws. The Department of Enhanced Regulation — the DER — enforces them.

Every Enhanced wears a tracking band built by Song Industries. They call it protection. Most call it control.

New Avalon is divided into three main districts:

A Heroes Defiance

As superpowers became more and more common, more heroes and even more villains began to emerge, and while the spectacle was amazing originally, it stopped being so amazing when all the damage from constant battles began to add up. Eventually, everyone simply had enough, and thus, the Hero Limitation Act was passed. This act made the civilian use of superpowers illegal and forced heroes to become a specialized part of law enforcement, following the same guidelines and answering to superior officers. No more flashy battles, no more destruction. Of course, many heroes pushed back against this in court, and while certain things, such as secret identities for existing heroes, were allowed to be kept, the decision was final. Some heroes adapted to the change and followed the law; some retired from heroics in protest, with their actions moving towards politics or other ventures; and others became illegal vigilantes, choosing to fight crime on their terms how they believe they should. These vigilantes are considered criminals and are to be met with necessary force.

This is an original superhero server inspired by but not beholden to existing media like Marvel, Dc, Invincible, the boys, and dispatch join and be a part of a wider narrative where you get to be a hero or a villain

In 2035, the third generation of mutants is starting to reach adulthood. Manifesting powers upon maturation, mutants are becoming more and more known to the world. The Luxford Institute is the world’s first academy for mutants, based near Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Run by the enigmatic Lady Knoxx, Luxford Institute’s key mission is to educate the steadily maturing third generation of mutants in their abilities and their responsibilities to the world at large.

The mutant question is being asked, the answers are varied and uneasy but growing louder. Will Luxford Institute be a shining beacon of the future, a representation of the good mutants can do, or is it an ominous portent of things to come?

Story Premise:

In the modern year of 2026, in an alternate universe where genetic augmentation during world war 2 created super soldiers, the world history you knew has been altered over the span of 80+ years. In this RP setting, superhumans are created or born from a legacy of another superhuman. Both terrorist and criminal factions fight with packs of their own superhumans, while world governments and the whole of the western world struggle to maintain order with their own superhero teams, and blackops superhuman teams.

A handful of corportations manufacture conflict with their own super villains and heroes for public entertainment and brand awareness, all while real conflicts are won and lost by the unnatural abilities of supers. Will you create a character with a legacy? Or perhaps a fresh person who has yet to forge one for themself.

The God of Balance was murdered in cold blood, spurring on a war unlike any other that ravaged the globe, fragmenting the mortal population and leaving half of the divine pantheon dead. The North Sea ran blood red; vast swaths of wilderness became uninhabitable, twisted with rot and corruption; the Gods fell into disarray, using their followers as a means to their own vendettas.

Eventually, the War of Calamity came to a close. The world went silent for a thousand years, as a new empire rose from the ashes.
