background lore: it can be like some of the witches are killing the knights people and trying to kill the king too because the king send danger to their home land. Plus the witches wouldn't have any freedom. While some witches are nice and would try to make peace with the knights or people and try to help them. although the witches can not be trusted and must be killed and also seen as a enemy even if they're innocent.

While the knights they are fighting because the king told them too and they'll get to live in a castle with golds and diamonds if they win the war.

If a knight and a witch make a deal of trust, or love interest, friendship, or even planning to stop the war they will be seen as a traitor. They'll be killed, or be hunted.
