After a disastrous, world-spanning bright flash granted superpowers to a large amount of people under 25 worldwide, world governments scrambled to control the now superpowered portion of their population. However Sato, a Japanese pharmaceutical company claimed responsibility for the event and set up a series of educational facilities in order to rehabilitate these youths and ensure they wouldn't be a danger to society.
10 years later, it is the year 2035, and after a series of security failures on Sato's troubled Site 12, located within a walled off section of Tokyo, Sato has set up an autonomous zone where they have full legal authority. One way or another, you have ended up within these walls; whether a young person not in control of their powers, an instructor hired to keep these in check, or a civilian living through this mess.
In this server we pride ourselves in emphasizing player autonomy and choice, allowing you to create and manage your own businesses IC as well as, with enough trust, your own factions. Although our focus is on University roleplay, you can choose to create a civilian OC and roleplay exclusively around the city, or even create villain OCs and threaten the peace; however, be warned that if you do not comply with Sato's laws, their forces won't hesitate. We put heavy weight on player choices, and every action you take can have dire consequences for your character, as we operate under RTK (Reason To Kill) rules.

Patch City welcomes literate writers and all characters that are sociable, not overpowered and pg-13.
Every writer here has their own main character and complete control over their story. We have no required activity level and no RP locking either. You write on your own pace, with no need to fulfill an activity level. Your character may keep their backstory if they already got one, and can even travel back and forth to their original verse via portals.
Under-powered characters and characters without powers can really shine in our setting. We do only allow 1 superman-level power, or 2 enhanced powers, or 3 mediocre abilities, along with decent drawbacks to go along with those. It is possible to 'link' even more powers if it makes sense though, as long as they go along with reasonable weaknesses.
You may have as many characters on here as your heart desires. We got heroes, villains, child characters, werewolves and vampires, aliens, normal humans and humans with abilities to interact with. Regular events make it easy to build ties to existing characters without much commitment.
Since Patch City's dimension is so unstable, the setting can shift to everyone's desires. Need an European castle despite the fact that our setting lies in the US? We got you. We do however also have fixed settings, like the Hero Tower for registered heroes to live in, and a School for the Gifted for children with powers to get an education in a save environment.
Staff here is aware that life is short, so we made the verification process a breeze. If your introduction and character submission works for our place, especially in terms of literacy, you're gonna be writing stories on here within 24 hours.

The War has ended, soldiers were returned home. Superhumans have gained the Government’s attention whether they like it or not. They were deemed the best of the best heroes and were praised for their efforts. Leaving a sour taste in many survivors mouth’s. People who weren’t super felt inferior despite also surviving with them. Despite how even many Superhumans also died in this war.
But they weren’t given the same medals. The same honors and attention. The NSA recruited many Superhumans that were in war who wished to continue their work. Because truthfully… the world outside of the glam and cameras disliked them.
Superhumans have long been puppets for the majority of human history, used to serve the people and or entertain them. They’ve been outcasts for being different from the majority. It’s a toxic mindset that lives even to this day.
The question is, how are you going to deal with this reality? Try to change their minds with good acts? Or turn your back against the world that’s slowly turning its back on you?

A Heroes Defiance
As superpowers became more and more common, more heroes and even more villains began to emerge, and while the spectacle was amazing originally, it stopped being so amazing when all the damage from constant battles began to add up. Eventually, everyone simply had enough, and thus, the Hero Limitation Act was passed. This act made the civilian use of superpowers illegal and forced heroes to become a specialized part of law enforcement, following the same guidelines and answering to superior officers. No more flashy battles, no more destruction. Of course, many heroes pushed back against this in court, and while certain things, such as secret identities for existing heroes, were allowed to be kept, the decision was final. Some heroes adapted to the change and followed the law; some retired from heroics in protest, with their actions moving towards politics or other ventures; and others became illegal vigilantes, choosing to fight crime on their terms how they believe they should. These vigilantes are considered criminals and are to be met with necessary force.
This is an original superhero server inspired by but not beholden to existing media like Marvel, Dc, Invincible, the boys, and dispatch join and be a part of a wider narrative where you get to be a hero or a villain
As superpowers became more and more common, more heroes and even more villains began to emerge, and while the spectacle was amazing originally, it stopped being so amazing when all the damage from constant battles began to add up. Eventually, everyone simply had enough, and thus, the Hero Limitation Act was passed. This act made the civilian use of superpowers illegal and forced heroes to become a specialized part of law enforcement, following the same guidelines and answering to superior officers. No more flashy battles, no more destruction. Of course, many heroes pushed back against this in court, and while certain things, such as secret identities for existing heroes, were allowed to be kept, the decision was final. Some heroes adapted to the change and followed the law; some retired from heroics in protest, with their actions moving towards politics or other ventures; and others became illegal vigilantes, choosing to fight crime on their terms how they believe they should. These vigilantes are considered criminals and are to be met with necessary force.

This is an OC only role-playing based server where you claim abilities from other sources of media to give your characters powers, develop their story with others, and become either the most threatening villan in the world or the most famous hero of all time.
In this server, there are heros and villans, where they both struggle for power, fighting for structure, chaos, and most importantly for heros: fame.

Both terrorist and criminal factions fight with packs of their own superhumans, while world governments and the whole of the western world struggle to maintain order with their own superhero teams, and blackops superhuman teams.
A handful of corportations manufacture conflict with their own super villains and heroes for public entertainment and brand awareness, all while real conflicts are won and lost by the unnatural abilities of supers. Will you create a character with a legacy? Or perhaps a fresh person who has yet to forge one for themself.

A new bloom has appeared overnight—one that pulses with unfamiliar colors.
Xavier’s dream persists, but it is no longer purely his. Magneto walks the halls hardened by recent losses. Storm rules with quiet authority. Jean and Scott try to hold the center. Younger mutants—students from the new academies—push for more radical futures.
What happens next is unwritten.
Are you a returning mutant grappling with resurrection trauma? A human diplomat trying to broker peace? A new threat manifesting within the Quiet Council itself? A child of Krakoa awakening to sentience?
Tell us your character or perspective, and we’ll weave the story together. The island is listening.
