The year is 1200 BBY, and the galaxy is in a stalemate.
The wars plaguing the last few centuries have now reached their closure. With the Jedi atop Coruscant once more; rebuilding their temple from Sith ruins and leading recovery efforts through the territory of the High Republic even decades after the war has ended. With the Republic now recovering, the leadership of the Senate has changed to be Jedi-appointed. With a young master assuming the role of Chancellor; many have raised concerns of the Republic being little more then a bloated corpse, festering with corruption. Though the Supreme Chancellor has yet to make any official moves, with her only being a year into her position.
The Order itself along with the Republic claim a ceasefire with the Sith, whose leadership has scattered and split across hidden nooks of the galaxy. They cling to ancient tombs in the sands of Korriban while Darths still struggle over infighting and power over one and another. Meanwhile, historians and Veterans speculate that the ceasefire between the two factions exist not as a peace treaty, but as a reluctant pact only kept out of fear of further war after the memory of Mizra; all too fresh on the mind. Across the galaxy, skirmishes are blamed on pirates and “unauthorized actors", force users move without banners in the ever turning cogs and wheels of the bounty hunting world.
Meanwhile, the Mandalorian clans fought for the Republic, Sith, or themselves during the war. They didn't win. Honor, credits, vengeance, and varying degrees of loyalty to the previous Mandalor pulled them in different directions. Division so varied among them has led to another civil war, with the throne of Mandalor laying vacant, multiple warriors brawl for the title of Mand’alor. None have earned it.
As the year comes to a close, the galaxy remains uncertain as ever.
