Welcome to OVERTALE, a roleplay taking place right after the events of the original UNDERTALE game with aspects of DELTARUNE added into the mix!

Ever since monsters re-emerged from the underground, the surface has been thrown into a mass panic. Humankind is divided on opinions regarding their co-existence. The buttercup council, unable to reseal them back without causing further damage to the already fragile order they have enforced for so long, instead does the next best thing in their eyes… segregation.

Not only that, strange anomalies have been popping up all over the place… ones that the council is trying to keep out of public eye.

But sooner or later, everything will flood over… and everybody will be suffering the consequences for it.

[ SURVEY_PROGRAM ] is a UTDR-focused RP server. I recommend being 18+, but the heavy emphasis is on SFW literate RP and the 18+ channels are firmly segregated with opt-in roles.

[ INTENDED AUDIENCE ]

✦ LGBT+-friendly! It wouldn't be very fitting to themes of UTDR if it wasn't, honestly... disability-friendly too.

✦ The server is primarily SFW, but there's a role to see NSFW channels you have to ask admins for. Users who don't want to do or see NSFW RP/discussion can simply not ask for the role.

✦ While the server is largely geared towards literate/experienced roleplayers, it's not a hard requirement. I've written some beginner terms and guides for newcomers, and the approval process is very simple - just enough to prove you're not a bot. No essays!

[ ROLEPLAY RULES ]

✦ Canon characters aren't reserved for one person like other servers. My solution is that duplicate canons aren't allowed in the same serious scene (with exceptions for crack and mod approval), instead having their own scenes that don't affect anyone else's version of the character.

✦ Original characters are welcomed and encouraged! However, crossovers and complex AUs will likely need significant adjustments to be approved for most public RP channels, to keep things understandable and fun for everyone. Simple AUs are usually fine (e.g. 'Asriel is alive in UT').

✦ Both grand scale and small scale RP have plenty of room to flourish, so don't feel constrained to one or the other unless you'd prefer it that way!

[ SPECIAL ROLES ]

✦ To see all the RP channels for UT, DR, and UT Yellow. That way, you can have as many or as few channels to look through as you want!

✦ Admin-given 'access' roles that are awarded for dedicated and/or immersive play, similarly to a permanent version of D&D's inspiration system.

✦ Seven color roles, one for each flavor of human SOUL. Yum!

Undertale Purple is an in-dev Undertale fangame set in 20XX which follows Alite, the 3rd human SOUL’s journey through the Underground. We’ll have an increased focused on Asgore near the end, as well as new areas, new characters, and so much more.
