**Jujutsu Kaisen: A World on the Brink**

Long before humanity walked the earth, negative emotions spawned cursed energy and malevolent entities. As life evolved, so did these curses, growing stronger and threatening extinction. Humans, unique in their ability to harness cursed energy, rose to challenge the darkness, forming clans to combat the encroaching doom.

Millennia of conflict followed. Clans waged war on curses, unknowingly fueling their growth. Special Grade curses emerged, devastating humanity. The clans united, but even their combined might couldn't stem the tide. Disaster curses, beings of unimaginable power, appeared, pushing humanity to the brink of collapse.

Ten thousand years ago, Jujutsu society fell. Now, from the ashes of that defeat, a new hope flickers. Remnants of the clans have resurfaced, establishing Jujutsu High, a secret institution dedicated to training a new generation of sorcerers. They are humanity's last line of defense against the ever-present threat of curses.
