Five years after the unification of Navarre, a new quadrant has been added to Basgiath War College: the Rider's Quadrant.

With tensions rising in the war brewing against Poromiel, the first dragon riders serve as the college's professors as they open their doors to welcome the first year of future riders.

When pardoned criminals walk the same halls as distinguished nobles, each newly bonded to great dragons for the first time in their history, they must either settle their differences together or one must come out on top. Remember, the dragons are watching. Your bond relies on you alone. Good luck and don't fall.

Hybern has been defeated again, but not without some cost. Bonds have been manipulated, trauma resurfacing, and a new and even deadlier king was put on the throne. His heart beats for a female who doesn't seem to care much about pain in any way, and whose heart is cold and intense at the same time.

But no one may rest, not even the new King of Hybern, for there are now vampyres running around in Prythian, draining people and animals of blood. They seek a place in the world but because of their history as slaves they wish to find a place, bathe it in the blood of whoever lives there, and conquer the world.

War has raged the known world since the beginning, starting with the Dragons and Gryphons. War doesn’t cease, just because you want it too. The war between the Kingdoms of Navarre and Poromiel is evidence enough. 400 years, and countless lives lost, and still the conflict has not ceased. Tensions only grow, and even within both Navarre and Poromiel, rebels lurk. Both regions and their respective schools are preparing, the next generation must be made ready to continue the fight, thus, all children once of age are conscripted to one of the many branches of the Basgiath War College or the Cliffsbane Flight Academy. Perhaps the enemy isn’t what you really think it is..?

The world has changed in the last ~1400 years since the events of the books. Gone is the Venin threat. The magic has stabilized and grown, making changes of its own. Every quadrant has unique riders - considered the elites amongst all of the cadets. All quadrants have characters with signets now, as well - and speaking of signets? There is no list. You get creative oversight on your own characters. Dragons are also no longer defined by their colors or tails - but their origin and their dragonfire.

The continent has stabilized - it has been over 1000 years of peace between the now-three countries on the continent, and new trade has developed between, magic-based technology has improved. Now though, Navarre has a different plan. This years cadets will mark a new direction for Basgiath. For Navarre. Exploration outside of the continent. Expanding their horizons and perhaps their territory.

Five Years After The Unification.

The war is over, but peace is a lie.

Five years have passed since the Great War and the Unification of Navarre that followed—an uneasy alliance forged in blood to push back the ancient threat of the venin. With the borders of Navarre sealed tight and the skies once again ruled by dragons and their bonded riders, the ruling elite now seek to erase the past. The horrors of the venin, the sacrifices made, and the truth behind the war are all being buried under royal decrees, revised histories, and missing tomes.

But not everyone is willing to forget.

In the shadows, whispers of rebellion stir. Descendants of the forgotten, the outcast, and the war-scarred remember what was lost—and what was taken. Hailing mostly from the Tyrrish province, they call themselves the Marked, and they refuse to let history be erased by the victors. As unrest simmers across the provinces and cracks begin to form in Navarre's newly formed golden peace, the next great conflict brews—against both the venin, and against the lies that silence the truth.

In the aftermath of the Great Battle, the Clans are left shattered.

Only a small number of cats survived the destruction, dragging themselves from ruined camps and blood-soaked battlefields to face a future filled with starvation, grief, and uncertainty. Prey is scarce, borders have fallen, and even StarClan has gone silent weakened by the devastation that tore through the forest.

Desperate to survive, the remaining Clan cats begin rebuilding from the ashes, recruiting any cat willing to stand beside them. Loners, rogues, and kittypets are welcomed into ranks once guarded by tradition, for the warrior code means little when extinction looms over every Clan.

A faction known as the Empyrean has claimed the former territory of WindClan as their own. Led by the cruel and charismatic Cath and enforced by his ruthless second-in-command, the Empyrean believe they are spiritually bound not only to their ancestors, but to each other. They claim their bond allows them to mentally connect sharing thoughts and emotions.

A year ago, rebellion cut the sky.
On the Poromiel frontier, the King of Navarre fell in battle and the wards along the marches flickered. Basgiath shuttered its gates for an awful season—too many whispers of treachery, not enough riders to hold the lines.

Now the Regency Council reopens Basgiath War College by decree. The empire needs bodies on saddles—fast.
