A record breaking number of cadets seek to complete their first year at the prestigious and undeniably important Rider's Quadrant of Basgiath War College. With conflict looming overhead, gryphons likewise taking to the skies in skirmishes both within the Wards and on the front line, First Years must succeed and become competent riders now more than ever.
Set over four hundred years before Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm, Smoke & Fire tackles the complexity of the beginning of Navarre and Poromiel's great war. Join the current First and Second Year class as they navigate the discovery of different dragon colors, the manifesting of astounding signets, and close relationships/bonds made through the school of Basgiath.
