What can you do?

🏛️ You can apply for a position in the bureaucracy - Ministries are frequently open, and new ones are created often to accommodate the Empire’s needs. And, if you play your cards right, perhaps you could reach the highest, most powerful, available position: The Stewardship.
Alternatively, you could serve the ministries in other ways, such as Law Enforcement in the Ministry of Justice, as a diplomat or consul in the Ministry of Foreign & Colonial Affairs, or an architect in the Ministry of Regional Development & Governance

📜 You could become a lobbyist, or possibly a representative in the Imperial Parliament, allowing you to draft and vote on new laws and amendments. The Empire is always in need of new legislation to accommodate its needs, and you could be the one that drafts or sponsors it. Perhaps you could serve the interests of the merchants and magnates, pushing for laws that benefit them, laws that the common citizenry are seeking, or serve your own interests

💰 You could become a merchant, grow the Empire’s economy, and fuel industry. The Valdorian Aureus is held up by the gold standard, so you can guarantee that your hard-earned money has value. The year is 1914. A year after the long-time leader of the Liberal National Party, Valerian D'Attal, returned to power by defeating the young and inexperienced Conservative leader D'Selwyn, who had risen to the position following the death of his mentor, Balthier D'Salisbourgh, the so-called "Second Monarch" and leader of the Conservatives (or, as people in Gascoyne call the party, "The Bull").

The Kingdom of Gascoyne is divided on many issues, but foreign policy is not one of them. Most agree that neutrality is in the blood of the Gascoyne people and that aligning with neither the Tsardom of Zarovia nor the Kingdom of Allegria is the only sensible choice. Yet many believe that this system of neutrality is nearing its end, with both Empires drawing closer and closer to open warfare.

Geopolitical experts don't fail to notice that the Kingdom is full of radicals who seek to bring down the system - suffragists, divided socialists, and republicans. Can the system hold on, or is the wind of change beginning to blow?
