Time was meaningless in prison. Every second spent inside felt like an eternity. How much of your sentence have you served? How much was left to go? You hadn't given it much thought.

Faces, voices and features blurred together. Nothing and nobody made an impression on you anymore, the initial desperation to network and forge alliances long left abandoned in the past — that is, until a fresh feminine face.

Gentle yet intoxicating, her warm gaze beckoned you closer, even as the armed guards ushered you into an enclosed room anyways. You settled into the seat across from her, each word of hers dripping with care and concern.

“This could be your best chance at freedom,” She lilted, a tender hand clasped above your own. The other slides a clipboard towards you, pen attached to the board by a thin metal chain.

Her tone draped over you like a blanket, soothing you and seeping into your very core. “Are you willing to take the risk?”
