Way out west, there's the server. This server I wanna tell you about. A discord server by the name of Dudecord. Now Dudecord is a server based around the tenets of Dudeism. That be abiding and taking er’ easy. A place for like minded dudes to come together and talk about life, and all the things that help us abide the daily strikes and gutters. That’s not to say that’s all that’s talked about. Many members are also fans of the movie that inspired Dudeism, The Big Lebowski, some aren’t. And that’s not required. It should be noted that this server is not acting in any official capacity in the name of Dudeism. Meaning we aren’t sponsored or promoted by the main dudes of the “church” if you will. Probably the earliest form of Dudeism was the original form of Chinese Taoism, before it went all weird with magic tricks and body fluids. The originator of Taoism, Lao Tzu, basically said “smoke ’em if you got ’em” and “mellow out, man” although he said this in ancient Chinese so something may have been lost in the translation.
Down through the ages, this “rebel shrug” has fortified many successful creeds – Buddhism, Christianity, Sufism, John Lennonism and Fo’-Shizzle-my-Nizzlism. The idea is this: Life is short and complicated and nobody knows what to do about it. So don’t do anything about it. Just take it easy, man. Stop worrying so much whether you’ll make it into the finals. Kick back with some friends and some oat soda and whether you roll strikes or gutters, do your best to be true to yourself and others – that is to say, abide.

This is a community which focuses on the "Dharma". Primarily: Buddhism, Zen, Vajrayana, and Hinduism. Nonetheless, we are very open minded and we engage in myriad practices and discussions involving other areas of mysticism, spirituality, and philosophy.

We're sort of a back corner of the internet where people banned from other servers come to congregate, as well as enlightened people or advanced practitioners who are bored with the otherwise tame conversations that happen in other "dharma" servers.
