Survive the uncompromising Rain World in this text-based roleplay game, where nomadic creatures spend most of their time hibernating due to the crushing rainfall that occurs at the end of every cycle. Use the time you have during the dry period to explore and scavenge for food before the next downpour comes.
In this roguelike version of Rain World, all canon slugcats co-exist as does the rotting prince of the Watcher. Use the limited cycles you've been given to explore the world to its fullest and uncover a way to fulfill your journey before the world becomes too uninhabitable due to the hands of the rot.

Hello. We are Rain World: Dust and Ash, an inclusive Rain World RPing community.
Five Pebbles' structure shook, the rot, once an insignificant affliction now spreading within. he continued his work and rejected formal means of communication, with as groups of scavengers tearing away at the top of this structure. Moon's structure continued to fail, as she barely held on to reality in her heavily damaged state, not yet collapsed but her systems almost refusing to function.
The creatures of the world continued their usual behaviour despite all this, perilous as ever with its mindless creatures and roaming scavengers. In a world where creatures once lived, horrific bio-mechanical entities and small purposed organisms alike rose from the iterator's experiments.
Welcome to Rain World: Dust and Ash! This is an OC-driven RP server based long after the outcome of Arti's campaign. Although OC driven, all cannon iterators as well as the scavenger chief, hunter and artifcier are available as claimable cannon characters. We also have rules allowing people to create their own regions.
In this server, we have:
-A server lore anyone's character can contribute to
-Custom Iterator Reigions and Custom Non-cannon reigons
-A safe space welcome for anyone (strict no creepy 30 year old basement dweller rule)

A Rain World RP where Iterator systems are breaking down. Water regulation across the network has failed. Flooding is inconsistent, Garbage Wastes is overflowing, and contaminated runoff is spreading the Rot beyond its usual limits. Regions are becoming unstable, routes are unreliable, and the ecosystem shifts its balance.
This is an Iterator-focused RP where their decisions shape the world, but the local creatures are directly affected and always involved.

SIL is a fan made Rain World focused with the idea of providing a space for fans of the game to chat and roleplay in that eventually developed in a speculative and growing community driven world building project.
The RP element of the server is for both funny and serious interactions and has since expanded into more in-depth lore building with the inclusion of corporate dynamics, speculative flora and fauna, benefactor subcultures, alternative religious groups, hypothetical coding languages, conlang, map making, etc.
If that sounds interesting to you, we would like to see what you want to add! :D
Some things to know about SIL:
- Most of the roleplays here are done in google documents, as it's fitting for the chatline-esque theme a lot of our settings have, as that our server also mainly focuses on the iterator aspect of Rain World more than anything else (but slugcats and other critters can be included too!)
- World building is focused on and very much encouraged in this server; we're looking for people that like to think about the lore from within the server and the lore surrounding the game as a whole. Our server has some speculative opinions on Rain World, and we can reasonably say we're mostly a rain world *based* server. Don't let that put you off if you just want to have some casual fun, though! Not everything needs to be deep lore, after all :)

Long since past the time of the Saint, the old world is finally coming to rest. Since the glasslike shards of hail first fatally poured from the sky, everything we once knew for fact changed forever. But even still, lying beneath the world, a single land remains, still untouched by the course of time. As the primordial fissure began to close, a new one opened, barely revealing a pipe to the great city of old. The five- our saviors- led us to the safe haven we now know as the Subterranean City. The old songs are lost, but where you fit in this story, is your choice and your choice alone. Will you remain in this city forever, or witness the grandeur of the era whose cycle finally ebbs?

- All roleplay styles are permitted. Literate, semi-literate, and beginner roleplayers alike can roleplay in peace. This also means that there is no minimum word requirement for roleplay posts.
- Many helpful features are present which are not found in other roleplay servers.
- Simple, easy to fill out character template which can be modified or expanded upon as needed.
- Roleplay battles are allowed. "Go ham!"
