The year is 20XX.

The first strange event was the appearance of The Singularity. A massive blue star that appeared with no warning, eclipsing the sun and dying the world under a deep purple sky. The second strange event was the rise of a mysterious disease called The Entropy, which strips a human being of The Foundational Elements of Human Nature--their Ethos (ethics and character), Logos (logic and reasoning) and Pathos (emotions and empathy) … Without ELP, those infected with The Entropy became violent, thoughtless husks.

Right when all hope seemed lost in this strange new world, Japan's largest tech company, Machina Tech built three walls, Ena, Dyo and Tria … called Rings, and within these walls, the safe haven known as Santolina was born.

Yet all was not right. A cure for The Entropy was needed, and so The Negentropy Project Research Team was founded. Operating underground, beneath the walled city, these experts created an experiment called The Game. They pulled Subjects--that's you--from other worlds in order to put them through a series of dangerous Trials that tests their mental, physical and emotional fortitude. All for the sake of gathering ELP to transfer to those suffering with The Entropy.

Vesper Reach is a sprawling liminal megacity suspended above an endless onyx sea, where collapsing realities are quietly collected, cataloged, and absorbed by an ancient system long past its intended lifespan. What remains is Mirror Avenue, the last stable district, where survivors from countless universes gather in uneasy cooperation while the city itself continues to shift, rearrange, and decay around them.

This is a multifandom RP setting built around survival, exploration, and mystery in a living, albeit /dangerously/ unstable world. Canon characters and original characters from any universe are welcome, all integrated into the Reach as “rescued” fragments of dying realities. The world is wrong. Technology and people and places long since considered dead and abandoned exist alongside their peers, yet no one blinks an eye. It is 2026, yet there are teenagers whom were born in 1982. "The world is wrong", they declare, "No", it answers back, for the world has told them they are wrong. Even throughout the dozens- no, thousands of incidents that border upon and include the supernatural, marring the flow of time with their massacres, the world is somehow right. Even though time is wrong, the world is not. You are. That is what has been fed throughout history, to those who dared survive these incidents, and those who have not, yet still walk the Earth.

These tragedies that stain history have only grown in severity as the years pass, and the distance between them has in turn lessened. Those who believe the world is wrong have only grown in number... and the world does not accept rebellion. An attraction has been planted with them, a desire to move, one which seems always to bring them to the center of these tragedies, be it out of fear for enduring yet another, or out of a need to prove their theories, that something truly does haunt the planet upon which they walk, that time is lying and so too is their Earth.

This attraction leads them to greater pain, to the hounds of that which corrupts history... but it also brings confirmation: The world is wrong, and it is trying to silence them. But you cannot run nor hide from the world which gave life to you -- Or whatever chooses to mask as it --, thus only one choice remains. To investigate further, to bite at this Entity's bait, and to smash the mirrors that reflect the hate at the heart of this world.

Hey! Server creator here. I made this server as a kind of way to cope. I'm a recovering AI Chatbot addict, and I'm trying to roleplay with real people more. I thought a fresh batch of people would be the best way! I guess the 'most wanted' fandoms could be stuff like Marvel/DC and Transformers, but anything with aliens can do.
