Nights of Carpathia is a Play-by-Post server based on Vampire the Masquerade Dark Ages: 20th Anniversary. This Chronicle features time-skips, chapters move the story forward in time.

Currently the year is 1207.

Thirty years have passed since the last great war, and the Carpathian city of Volcharov has entered an uneasy peace, one where power, faith, and blood intertwine more tightly than ever before.

A University now rises within its walls, a bold experiment inspired by Paris and Bologna, where mortals and Cainites alike study philosophy, law, and theology under the patronage of Neacșu Safarova. Knowledge has become a weapon sharper than any blade.

Across the realm, the seeds of an artistic renaissance take root. Craftsmen, poets, and glassmakers turn their hands toward beauty, even as the Church transforms beauty into dogma. Meanwhile, Volcharov's priests preach a new gospel: one that exalts blood as sacred, hierarchy as divine, and resurrection as a sign of grace. Nobility itself is reimagined as holy inheritance, and chivalry as a reflection of the angelic host.

The faithful whisper: Life is in the blood. Death is not the end.

Whether this heresy grows from mortal zeal or from the hidden influence of the Damned, none can say. But as faith, power, and philosophy converge, Volcharov prepares, consciously or not, for the next age of struggle.
