Nights of Carpathia is a Play-by-Post server based on Vampire the Masquerade Dark Ages: 20th Anniversary. This Chronicle features time-skips, chapters move the story forward in time.
The year is 1241.
While the Mongol hordes shatter kingdoms beyond the Carpathians and refugees flood westward from the ruins of Rus, Poland, and the Hungarian marches, the Tzimisce domain of Volcharov stands as an unlikely beacon amidst the gathering darkness. Over three decades of peace have transformed it into a center of learning, faith, and culture, where a thriving University rivals those of the west and a nascent renaissance blooms beneath cathedral spires and noble courts.
Yet beneath this prosperity lies something stranger. A Church whose teachings dwell upon sacred blood, resurrection, and divinely ordained hierarchies, doctrines that drift dangerously close to the truths known only to the Damned. Cainites from fallen domains arrive seeking sanctuary beneath the Voivode's rule, while whispers spread that the Antediluvian Ennoia herself walks beside the Mongol armies.
Volcharov stands at a crossroads between civilization and apocalypse. A city of scholars, saints, kings, and monsters awaiting the coming storm.

I've been a player in the Nights of Carpathia Chronicle for a year now and this was my introduction to Vampire the Dark Ages; my roleplaying experience there was amazing and in a way immersive. In addition the community is great and very friendly overall.

Nights of Carpathia has given me something I haven't gotten in over a decade of collaborative storytelling. I have had literate writing communities, engaging narration, wonderful characters and considerate staff before. While this server has all of those things and more, something I have never had was consistency.
They keep coming back. They keep up with the community. Their passion shows in the joy they share with others.
