The Anarch Free State has fallen. Jeremy MacNeil is dead. Los Angeles belongs to the Kuei-jin and the New Promise Mandarinate. And the survivors, bitter, broken, and desperate for any refuge, washed up on the shore of a foggy California city named for the patron saint of the homeless: San Benito.

San Benito Dreams is a play-by-post Vampire: The Masquerade (V20) chronicle set in the fictional Bay Area city of San Benito in the present day. Players take on the roles of Camarilla neonates newly arrived in a domain that is young, fragile, and pressed in every direction: by San Francisco to the north, San Jose to the east, and the New Promise Mandarinate to the south. The Primogen council is bitterly divided over the Prince's vision for the city's future.

Prince Richard Shanley holds San Benito together through charm, grit, and a 25-year-old letter of endorsement from a Justicar. But his paper shield is starting to wear thin.

What makes this chronicle different: San Benito Dreams offers a realized world with a specific mood (taut, dreamlike, and melancholic) and a story that will respond to your actions.

The political engine is a waterfront redevelopment deal that has fractured the court. Every clan has a stake and every party to it has a reason to betray their allies. Your character may be able to find and patch the cracks... or exploit them for their own gain.

What we're looking for: People who want to inhabit a character, who can post at least a few times a week, who care about collaborative storytelling, and who are drawn to political intrigue, moral compromise, and slow-burning tension.
