This server is (and will be) a giant repository for plants, insects, and even arguments in favor of Catholicism (God in general, really) using nature.

The main focus is a gigantic info hub, but also to educate people on how complex and diverse our planet is, what we’re at risk of losing, how we can help, the importance of God in this field, growing your own food sustainably, etc. I haven’t been able to find any server that does this, and it’s a gap that needs a bridge built onto it. I imagine one day this could be a platform for small organizations/charities to find support, and already established ones to garner more attention. (NASCA, WCS, Oceana, SSC).

Here we talk about and provide resources on how everyday people can help stop the current decline of biodiversity all over the world by simply planting and growing plants native to their area and aiding in other conservation efforts.

We have channels for sharing resources for native plant gardening, knowing what species are native to your area of the globe, geeking out about our favorite organisms, and sharing pictures of awesome animals and plants we find. All levels of knowledge are welcome and even experts make mistakes. No one can know everything so sharing our own experiences and knowledge is valuable at any level. Even the best gardeners kill the most plants.

To help our US members we have a bot that alerts the server every time the EPA and BLM post something on their website. Those posts contain information about local grant opportunities, when public comment on a project opens, and other environmental news. We hope to expand this feature in the future so stay tuned.
