The Shepherds of the West is a Christian-based spiritual group pursuing faith, fellowship, and communion with a clear ulterior goal of at some point establishing a real life, physical, theistic community alongside our digital one. This is so we can live in the ways our Lord and God wanted; in a spiritual & communal way of living where one can experience life, find family and friends, or discover a deeper faith in a place morally and spiritually in tune w/ their beliefs while loving and sacrificing for one another within the community.

We will be doing prayer sessions, studying theology, practicing apologia, and Bible studies for our Christian members. Beyond this we’ll do other community based things as well, on top of being open to suggestions from members.

Only other genuine theist will be allowed into the group; people of the book (abrahamic religions) and other spiritualities (Eastern, pagan, tribal, etc.) will be granted entry if of a good nature and Christians of all denominations are encouraged to join. This is a Christian-based group so respect should be shown regarding our different faiths, keep in mind this is a community for fellowship not debate, but civil conversation regarding religion is fine.

For those interested we’ll also be discussing the strategy and methods we can take to establish a intentional community be it off grid or simply rural. We’ll be hosting IRL events where those truly interested in creating a community can get to know one another. This aspiration will most likely take a number of years, we have a potential location secured so we hope to have a thriving internet community well before having a many people actively living at the location.

This is the Follestone Commune of Las Vegas. Put together by me, Jinx Follestone, but once we establish a group we can all decide how we want it to go. Looking for a group of disabled and neurodivergent people to go house hunting with and build this commune together. We can each contribute in our own way and create our own little support system.

This is to be a community of people who wish to live/work together and share the same values and purpose.

That purpose is to grow and pool resources together to support ourselves (so that we are less government-reliant) and have the ability to define and reach our shared goals.

As artificial intelligence and tech rapidly advance, the future becomes more uncertain and fast-paced, so we welcome people that are adaptable (open-minded, optimistic), creative (forward-looking & thinks outside the box), rational (logical), and connection-oriented (community-minded). Those are our four main values.

What makes us a bit unique from a "traditional commune" is that we embrace ai/tech to achieve goals. Also, we aim to (initially) have spaces in or around the city. Not everyone wants to give up the conveniences of modern life – also, there is the advantage of greater cultural diversity, potential for new members to join, financial opportunities, and more.
