The Seven Kingdoms are not as mighty as they once were, bound by the dragons and might of House Targaryen or united against a common threat. The Eternal Summer, now in its 25th year, has done much to press upon the southern kingdoms of Dorne, the Reach and the Stormlands, just as the Great Spring Sickness has left the Iron Islands weak and small in population. Still, House Targaryen’s grasp is strong, thanks to the good rule of King Aemon I and the Lord Hand, Alyn Oakheart, both having worked tirelessly to improve upon town charters, trade agreements and tax rulings.

Now, though, Lord Oakheart is dead, and the future falls to the next generation in the king’s twin sons, the Princes Jaehaerys and Baelor. Only time will tell how fate is to treat them and the Seven Kingdoms.

The Realm grows weary of the same dragonlords with their weapons pointed at them with teeth and flame- with the power to change things, yet nothing changes. The Targaryens grow soft in the eyes of the Lords, caring more that they 'returned' their old relics and relying on the fear they instill. Winter comes and the Realm is held by weak men that care of prophecy and foreign Red sorcerers than grain, men, and cattle. How long will they remain in power?

This server will be primarily a character driven story. It will not lack for action and conflict, however, it will for the most part primarily be player vs npc at least during our first few events. As the server grows we may expand to more player vs player should the story turn in that direction.

Following the fall of the rebellion at the Trident and the deaths of Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark, in 283 A.C, a victorious Prince Rheagar Targaryen topples King Aerys Targaryen and becomes king, naming Jon Connington as his hand. The successive years were shaped by Rhegar’s and his council’s rebuilding of the Seven Kingdoms through several pardons and new allies and punished. Beyond the narrow sea, another dragon sees its flourishing, a black dragon, Haegon Blackfyre. A Red Priestess, Kinvara, arrived in 285 A.C. at the Red Keep while Melysandre served as Haegon’s tutor. The Red Dragon’s army crushes many rebellions such as Balon Greyjoy’s. A prophetic dream torments the King, troubling his conscience seeing a black dragon in the east walking with a red one to take everything he holds dear. As the exiled Targaryens return, his suspicions lead him to send them as far away from him as possible, especially after hearing of the betrothal of Haegon and his sister, Daenerys Targaryen, which ultimately leads him to break the betrothal and imprison her after yet another doomed prophecy from Kinvara. Viserys is sent to the rebuilt Summerhall. Finally, Varys approached Haegon at the start of 305 AC, making him believe that Rhaegar killed Daenerys and covered it up. Now with the Golden Company plotting to return Daenerys to Essos, Haegon plots to invade Westeros.

A king rose from betrayal and smothered a rebellion, taking the reins of Westeros and leading it to an era of peace. King Vaegon Targaryen, in his early days as king ushered in said peace with the crushing blow of dragonfire, only for the last dragon to die a matter of days later.

Being an accounting set down by Maester Halvyn, in the one hundred and second year after the Doom…

Westeros in this age is not the unified realm many later histories pretend it to be. The great kingdoms endure, but their borders are loose, their authority personal, and their power often contested. Alliances shift like tides, rivalries burn quietly beneath old oaths, and no single ruler commands the fate of the continent.

Across the Narrow Sea’s shadow, House Targaryen rules from Dragonstone, the last Valyrian Freeholders in Westeros. The Dragonmont trembles once more, and in recent years dragon eggs have begun hatching in unusual numbers. Young dragons now stalk the skies of Dragonstone, volatile and dangerous, and even those of Valyrian blood have found bonding with them uncertain… and sometimes fatal.

And yet, for all its decay, **House Targaryen** is far from *extinction*.
The blood of the dragon has not thinned, it has **spread**.

From courtly maidens to **tavern** girls, from highborn ladies to essosi slaves, the king has sown his seed with reckless abandon. Though he has but **two** trueborn children to carry his name in law, his bastards are mass-numbers. They bear the silver-gold hair and purple eyes in every corner of the realm. Some are acknowledged, some **hidden**, some raised in castles, others in squalor but all share the same dangerous *inheritance*.

Year 68 AC King Maegor I opens the gates of the Red Keep and welcomes the realm to the twentieth nameday of his eldest children. Yet when the world awaits for him to finally name his very first son heir, the king announces his heir will not be determined by the hour of his birth, but by proving his strength.
He demands all of his sons, to show him they have the capabilty of taking the throne and keeping it.
