A king rose from betrayal and smothered a rebellion, taking the reins of Westeros and leading it to an era of peace. King Vaegon Targaryen, in his early days as king ushered in said peace with the crushing blow of dragonfire, only for the last dragon to die a matter of days later.

In this fragile era, the King took a bride, and then another, and so on until he had 4.

A Targaryen.
A Lannister.
A Manderly.
A Baratheon.

Each married for their own purpose and brought with them their own motives, and factions swiftly followed. The Four Brides floated about the court, and revolved around their own game of power within the Keep's walls.

Until the Targaryen bride fell with strike of the executioner sword, in response to the treasonous words that she believed to be private.

The Court never settled, it has only grown in it's restlessness as the King moved to remarry shortly after.

Alliances begin to shift and settle.
Loyalties are tested and tried.
As the Queens' Gambit continues to be played.
