New World is of course set in normal time of Fairy Tail, somewhat before the 100 year quest, but that won't be mentioned till later. Currently a Grand Magic Games is under works, leaving everyone around excited for the event.
Fairy Tail is prominent due to the fact most guilds were forced into merging whilst new guilds popped up. The world has vastly changed due to, unknown magical power altering reality and events transpiring with the involvement of Acnologia and Zeref the two beings clashed for a time in this timeline even those with large amounts of mana could begin emitting what are called Magia Shrouds, in its basic use it'll transform a small area and warp the dimension, making a small pocket area that enlarges the space for battle and amplifies the users power and magic within it, each shroud is different and does different effects beneficial to the user.
It's changed the lands of fiore, making them bigger, more people brought into the world unlike before from converging what if timelines or realities naturally pushed into the timeline that wasn't there before. New magic and new beasts, magic books containing slaying magic or lacrima holding ancient magic. New Islands and lands to explore. New guilds and possibilities.
