As a Server, the 17th has three main aspects.,
We are a global LFG server for helldivers from NA to OCE. We primarily speak English.
We are a light mil-sim server. You can do deployments to increase server rank, but you don't have to call officers sir or ma'am or schedule operations.,
We offer a variety of in-game challenges. These range from loadout restrictions and squad tactics to high-level solo ops and themed battalion storylines.

Super Earth formed the 17th Hellfire Fleet in response to escalating threats leading to the second galactic war. The fleet formerly aimed to secure the outer territories, putting down rebellions and monitoring extragalactic space. Following Operation Swift Disassembly, the fleet was assigned to monitor extragalactic space of the Yimir Sector, giving an early warning to nearby colonies prior to The Reclamation. In response to The Reclamation and other growing threats, the 17th Hellfire Fleet was reclassified from a peacekeeping fleet to a shock brigade. The newly formed 17th Hellfire Shock Brigade had its first engagement fighting automaton forces during the defense of Penta. Since then, the 17th has taken part of every major conflict in the galactic war, from entering the Gloom to defending Super Earth itself.

The Squid Offensive, home to the legendary "Whale Divers", are regarded as the ELITE of the ELITE. Regardless if you're a casual or a veteran, you'll fit right in. People always complain we are disorganized and can't liberate planets. People also complain that squids are annoying and don't know how to fight them. Why not finally change that for once? THIS server will FINALLY unify the HD2 playerbase once and for ALL, AND, coordinate to LIBERATE planets!

Each recorded planet liberation is documented into the official history and lore of helldivers 2. It is encouraged that every clan be involved so their names can rightfully be shown and respected. Clan leaders themselves will be provided their role of leadership and administration aswell, think of it like the Soviet Union - a unification of multiple countries banding together as one big superpower.
