Once a utopia for all is now a miserable, washed-up wasteland where people suffer. Caused by the betrayal of The River King by siding with hell, the divine realm of Varuna and mortal realm of Dydakia were almost destroyed in the Great War between Varuna, Dydakia and Hell. If it weren't for Seraph of Varuna sacrificing himself, both nations would've been completely wiped out. Thankfully, the sacrifice was enough for Varuna to invade and destroy the forces of hell. However, they couldn't save Dydakia from being taken over by The River King, as he formed a barrier around the nation and trapping its residents within the nation.

Now 10,000 years later, the regions still remain under the iron grip of the six lords (the last demons) and The River King. With each lord controlling what goes on in that region, ensuring that people are weak and suffering. However, hope is not lost and with the sacrifice of Seraph the Great Hero, the Dydakians took this sign of mercy as hope for the future that one day a group of heroes can arise to re-awaken him and free all of Dydakia. Allowing them to be free of suffering and return back to Varuna, their home above the falls.

Known as the ThroneFall Initiative to the Mages, and known as the ThroneFall Singularity to civilians, The ThroneFall Initiative was the mages attempt to rid the gods influence on the world and to replace them, to force the gods to fall and rip their divinity away and force them to mortality where the mages would then kill them and ascend to the Gilded Palace the gods called their home, the Pantheon of the Gods....through the sacrifices of many mages lives as well as blood and even their spirits being banished to nothingness, the ThroneFall Initiative was successful, the Gods and Goddesses fell and without their divinity or domain and even the capabilities to battle on were slaughtered by the Mages.

It is unknown what occurred to their followers as they were most likely hunted down and killed or captured and tortured to death....or even used for experiments after the Blight began.

Primordials

Despite the ThroneFall Initiatives success, some gods and goddesses remained with their divinity and their domains, it can be assumed this was due to the latent power of their Domain and what would occur if they were killed, these God's and Goddesses known now as Primordials are practically forces of Nature, those that cannot be killed for the fear of annihilation of everything...
