Everdane is a kingdom that's been ruled by the Kentworth family for over a hundred years. They have a mix of rich, successful towns and towns that are rampant with crimes and poverty. Their ruler, King Silas Kentworth, only seems interested in bettering the already well-off areas, leaving the run-down parts on their own accord. Though just a few years ago those well-off areas began being the target of pirate attacks, the main focus seeming to be on all the richest families in the town. Attacks that seemed to be controlled by the king quite quickly, at least for a few years, but they seem to be slowly returning again. Now he's left with the impoverished areas, while all the rich, successful families, responsible for building his kingdom up, are leaving for safer kingdoms. Still his focus remains on fixing the areas he's deemed worthy of saving, while the rest of his forgotten citizens grow more and more tired of his constant negligence.

Located within the perimeter of the capital city of Saerrae, a powerful Kingdom, Crystal Crown University is a University institute where only the wealthiest of the wealthy, the royalest of royalty and the elitest of the elite may study. Calling it prestigious is a minimization of its true extravagance: golden halls, gardens bigger than most peoples' home, and dorm rooms the size of luxurious apartments..

Scandals run rampant: every move comes with a million whisper, every word comes with three social media posts and an argument in the students' group chat. Who would've guessed that the children of the most powerful people on Earth could be spoiled brats? If you're a student, you're trying to get push through without being humiliated or the face of a scandal and trying not to get burned by a person with uncontrolled magic, if you're an employee you're exhausted trying to make it through the day. It's almost always like this.

The Darrhow School of Magic offers minors in certain magic programs, like Combat, Defense, Magic Ethics. There is also a yearly tournament involving most of the University's magic wielders, where the winner gets respect and fame, and the others just lose. The Fort Xaena Royal Guard Academy, owned by the University, trains future Royal Guards and teaches them about the employment.

Meanwhile, butlers and maids roam the halls, cleaning after every rowdy royal that comes by, while secretly hoping to be hired by one of the royals to work in their dorm, to make at least more money.
