La Terreur: Phantasma (The Terror: Apparition) is a historical-horror literate server based in the years of 1793-1794. It follows The Reign of Terror led by Maximilien Robespierre and his allies, who had formerly led French people through their revolution. The large change from our history is the awakening of an ancient species of vampires. While they drink blood, share attributes of bats, and display a vulnerability to garlic, these creatures are drastically different from their storybook counterparts.

These creatures drink blood, but not just for nourishment. When they drink from a victim (live or dead), they’re able to siphon the memories, emotions, and physical form of the person, robbing their victim of their emotional and physical attributes. With every soul they drain, these creatures are able to shift into one new person.

This new supernatural affliction, combined with Robespierre’s existing tyranny presents a great challenge to the people of France. That challenge is survival. When their leader conceals his evil behind a mask of revolution, and monsters mask their’s behind the face of another, how does one stay alive?

in this server you can indulge in discussing topics such as the enlightenment period, revolutionary era, and more within the 1700s-1800s. this server mostly focuses on the french revolution (especially from the perspective of the actual revolutionaries) however, talking about other historical periods is encouraged as well! this community is mostly made up of those from frevblr but newcomers are always welcome.

this server also promises to be an open-minded and peaceful place to simply hang out and make friends too…
