The Open Table
The Open Table is an independent, ELCA-rooted Christian Discord community created for thoughtful conversation, reflection, and belonging.
This is a calm and safe space for believers, seekers, and those still figuring things out. Questions are welcome. Doubt is respected. Faith is approached with grace rather than pressure.
We focus on:
- Scripture engaged thoughtfully (often using the NRSVue)
- Daily verses, reflections, and gentle discussion
- Prayer, care, and mutual support
- Respectful conversation without culture-war or debate-for-sport energy
You don't need to be Lutheran--or even Christian--to belong here. Participation is opt-in, and new members choose what parts of the community they want to see.
If you're looking for a quieter, grace-centered Christian space that values people over arguments, you're welcome at the table.

This is an open space for everyone, but is geared towards affirming Lutherans! Everyone from all walks of life are welcome at the table, just as Jesus welcomed us to his! This is an ELCA focused server, and one that affirms LGBTQIA values. Whether you are a Lutheran, Christian, or just wanting a comfortable space to hang out in, come on in!
