Boasting a history of over a thousand years, Chinese Indonesians are one of the largest and most diverse Chinese diaspora groups in the world. Unfortunately due to a turbulent history in the 20th century, the true identity of this community is little known and misunderstood.
This server is dedicated to cultivating a shared sense of identity amongst the Chinese Indonesian community in a holistic manner that embraces all aspects of Chinese Indonesian heritage. This includes language exchange, historical discussions, food, genealogy research, current events, and overall community building.
We aim to foster a safe space where people can discuss freely and in-depth about Chinese Indonesian history and culture. While our focus is on the Chinese Indonesian community, we encourage participation from everyone of all backgrounds who has an interest in the subject!
Although we use English as the main language of our server, we are truly a trilingual+ server with most people knowing more than three languages. If there's something in a language you don't understand, don't be afraid to ask anyone for translation help.
