We do take heavy inspiration from other media, such as Vampire Bloodlines: The Masquerade, V Rising, Vampyr, and others, however our world is entirely separate from these and operates with it's own systems, rules, ideas, and other such things.

Vampires are required to deceive humans into believing that vampires dont exist anymore, this is the masquerade, and there can be great consequences if any vampires break this rule.

When a king in 15th century Europe curses his family inadvertently through his sacrificial experiments, which then condemns himself and his three daughters— Demetra, Adelina, and Clara— to being burned at the stake, it ultimately results in the creation of what we now know to be vampires. After their expansion westward, three distinct vampiric houses were created, each ruled by one daughter with their own powers and weaknesses alike. This action by the king also created werewolves and witches, both having expanded greatly since their inception.
Our story is set in the 90’s of America, rich with pop culture and growing technology, along with everything in between. Create and roleplay as vampires or other species, participate in a welcoming community of writers and roleplayers, and so much more! Join us in Sanguis et Umbrae!

“In the heart of New York City lies monsters. These beasts with fangs, crimson eyes, and curling claws lurk in the dark and prey upon the vulnerable. They work silently — take lives and disappear into thin air.
A group of these beasts try to live a normal life, or at least as normal as it gets.
200 years after Oakhurst, the curse still resides in the hearts of the previous residents. The beacon light burned in their eyes, pumping through their veins, had cursed them with immortality until all have been either turned or cured. Though they may have escaped the ruins of that town, it seems living outside of the confines of its claws takes more effort than one would think.
As the urge to kill again bubbles up within the vampires upon the dawn of the 200th anniversary, the group decideds its finally time to find one another and finish this once and for all.“
