With the death of Avatar Korra around the age of 80 (233 AG), a new Avatar, an Earthbender named Yanshi was born. He was a smart boy, nearly mastering Earthbending and already skilfully learning firebending, however his life was soon cut short at the age of 12 from some mysterious reason after going missing one day. This caused a new Avatar to be born, Kaen, a princess to the firelord. (245 AG)

Kaen grew up in a very protected household, so protected that she wasnt even told she was the Avatar by her own father and she was forbidden from going outside or seeing other people. The world went on for 18 years (263 AG) without an Avatar and the world grew restless, crime, war and other dangers arose. Undenounced to her father Kaen had been sneaking out of the palace for years now, wearing a disguise and donning a false name, "Bell". She was daddy's perfect princess while at home but a degenerate on the streets, causing all kinds of trouble with her friends.

Due to the lack of an Avatar, one group labeled the 'Mind's Eye' has been kidnapping various people around the age of 18 in order to find the new Avatar and kill them in the attempt to make their own Avatar by some strange means. Eventually Kaen and her friends get kidnapped as well and discover the secret behind this group of radicals, as well as a new form of bending... Mind bending.
