A roleplay for all original characters, where every player can build the world through characters, locations, species, factions, resources, and events. I'm talkin' your own planets, magic metal, mutants, and a whole bunch of goofy comic book stuff. Capes is a collage of the community's ideas!
SETTING 🌎
The main setting is a contemporary Earth but with superhero shit, like the MCU or a Saturday morning cartoon. Advanced technology beyond the real world is present, but it's only in the hands of world governments, billionaires, aliens, and other resourceful entities.
INFINITE MULTIVERSE 🚪
The multiverse is your oyster. You can play on planets in the infinite expanse of space, or magical realms from myth like Olympia, or original realms of magic and wonder. You can even play in alternate universes that put a spin on the Capes main universe such as Invert Alignment: a universe where the heroes are villains and the villains are heroes!
FREEDOM 🦋
Capes is an interconnected world, but it has no main plot you're forced to keep up with, no singular combat system, and you can even make characters without super powers at all! You build up your scenes with your partners however you like, and play whatever you want. You can create plotlines both small and massive.
ADULTS ONLY 🔞
Capes is for adult players ONLY. We can play out mature topics like sex, violence, drug use, and psychological horror in gruesome detail. But not every roleplay has to be a fight or frisky. Just because intense stuff is allowed doesn't mean it's gotta be the only flavor, all types of roleplay tones are on the table. Silly, lighthearted, relaxed, and wholesome are more than welcome in Capes. Just because we allow intense subject matter doesn't mean it gets shoved in your face, our community is built on respect and communication.

It's what it says on the tin, and that's all I wanted. What I got was even more! Friendly staff, helpful server members, and creative characters with RP ideas aplenty! A balanced mix of writers with lengths from sentences to paragraphs to novella has allowed for a versatile blend of writing that's kept me engaged since joining, and will keep doing so for a good while.
