Nestled deep within the mist-choked pines of Black Hollow, Crestwood Academy was founded in many years ago, its red stone walls atop ancient land. On the outside, Crestwood is a prestigious boarding school known for academic excellence, exclusive traditions, and an air of old world nobility. But behind its facade of great academics and smart students lies a history darker than any legend.

The school’s founder, headmaster Elias Thorne, was not merely an educator, but a scholar obsessed with the occult. Thorne and the original school board, a circle of aristocrats, forged a pact of immortality, a ritual demanding a steady supply of youthful life force. Over the decades, the board has remained hidden in plain sight, appearing to grow old, then mysteriously replaced by “descendants,” when in truth, they have simply adopted new names, faces, and titles.
