Ostaria once it stood on the precipice of greatness the very stars themselves beckoning them, yet even this was not good enough for the greed and hubris of the people of old. From that great height they would fall so very far, some call it the great war, others the day of reckoning, some even call it a rapture and those of us left were left in a hell of our own creation.
I still see it before me, the light of the atom cast a long shadow across the entire world blanketing it into a long slumber, a century ago yet i remember it so vividly. Many sought shelter in the bunkers and vaults dug deep underground, but few made it to them when the time came. Most of us found ourselves struggling here on the surface, in the aftermath of that day, going days without water, weeks without food.
But we persisted, we rebuilt, and when the sun began to shine once more we cried, for the gods had not yet forsaken us. And just as the people of old sought not merely to survive, but to thrive so shall we. This is our home, this is our Ostaria, and we shall restore her to her old glory once more.
In 2053 the world as we know it ended, and now the world lies shattered before you, yet it still breathes, continuing to survive day by day. Though her greatness may be long gone, it is not forgotten and people still dream of returning to those great heights. Now it is your turn to carve your own place into this shattered world, what kind of leader will you be? Will you chase the shadows of old, burn them and establish something new from the ashes, or walk the line between? Ostaria is yours to make, or maybe finally break.
