The sound of arguing and laughter drifts down the hallway, along with the smell of burnt coffee mingling with vending machine snacks. From the breakroom and beyond, the office is crowded with people, too many calls overlapping with too many keyboards clacking away. You can't help but feel sorry for the overstressed dispatchers and their various hero teams, but any person you pull from one of those cubicles will tell you the same thing-
"The last time we saved Mr. Mittens from a tree was when I realized my team was actually working together out of their hatred for that cat."
"Since everyone stopped sabotaging each other and got work done, it's been great! I'm trying to get us up the leaderboard so we can have some more options."
"It's undeniably a hard job, but I love the satisfaction after a day's done, you know? That rewarding feeling of 'hey, I can still help people' is awesome."
