Halo: Echoes of Resurgence

It is the Year 2553. Only a few months ago, the alien hegemony of the Covenant invaded and bombarded mankind's last bastion, our homeworld, Earth, into ruins. After a long 27 years of war, humanity has been brought to the edge of extinction, spared only through the heroic actions of the Master Chief and alien allies scorned by the Covenant's treachery. But even with this victory, humanity's fate is left on a razor's edge.

The first 'new' starship, a Phoenix-class colony vessel, the "Echo of Resurgence," has been cobbled together and pushed out of what remains of humanity's Earth-bound shipyards; a fragile but important stepping stone in humanity's recovery. It shall be humanity's first vessel to begin exploring the stars and protecting humanity's tarnished frontier in the wake of the Great War, which has left every species broken, bruised, and now free of the Covenant to act as their many warlords and leaders always wished.



Following the original long, almost four-decade recovery merely to begin recolonizing the world of Reach, the closest inhabited colony to Earth established by Bungie, our story will focus on the fight for humanity's survival and the exploration of stars beyond the now fragmented and glassed colonial sphere. Alien warlords and ancient secrets lie beyond the dust and echoes of our fragile homeworld.
