Mobian Tales: The Slumbering Seal
In ancient times, two gods, known as the Progenitors, had given life to the planet of Mobius. All was good, until the question came about of how this new world should be governed. One, a proponent of order and adherence to law, sought to reign over the world with a steady, all-encompassing hand. Under their rule, the world would have no strife- life could prosper without danger or fear of the many pains of living. The other, adverse to this idea, believed that order could not stand forever, and that the only path forward would be a world ruled by freedom of thought, where the land's inhabitants would be able to learn and make their own mistakes. At odds with each other, the two gods that had once undertook the burden of shaping the world now turned their blades upon the other. Each created two beings to serve them in their conquest to govern the world in their own way. The Forebears, as they were called, fought fiercely for their respective Progenitor, but it was not until both Progenitors had dealt a fatal wound to the other that the fighting ceased, and the conflict came to an end... Or so it seemed. The Forebears, each blessed with a pristine crystal that would enhance their power, all swore that though their Progenitor had fallen, they would not forgive the transgressions of their enemies.
And so stands the world today- four kingdoms, two on each side. With the fanatic people of the Halidom of Solithia and the spiritualistic denizens of the Federation of Acorn on the side of order, and the profane mages of the Kingdom of Eclidea and the Drystahlian Empire's brutally efficient soldiers, the fighting from ages since past has since changed hands, but the strife remains the same.. Now, which side will you choose? Will you choose none at all? A great many souls hang in the balance, in a conflict greater than even these four kingdoms could ever know.
Come, sit awhile... We've quite the tale to tell, and we'd like your help to tell it.
