The rules are selectively enforced, creating the impression that moderation depends more on personal relationships than consistent standards. Most members have little interest in debate as a skill and even less interest in learning from disagreement.

Discussions are dominated by people who desperately want to be right rather than people who want to discover what's true. Members routinely cite sources they clearly don't understand, especially when statistics or numerical evidence are involved. Dropping a link is treated as equivalent to making an argument.

The result is a community where confidence is valued more than competence, and where productive discussion is drowned out by ego, tribalism, and poor reasoning.

If you're looking for serious, thoughtful, or high-quality debate, you're better off looking almost anywhere else. This server excels at arguments, not debate.

Mostly good moderation, can't complain, it's a chill enough atmosphere for open dialogue. Most people are open minded and we have our very own lolcow, can't complain really.
