X-Wing: A Star Wars RP

So, I saw the Ace Combat 8 trailer at the Game Awards. And I watched a little Top Gun. And I played some Rogue Squadron. And I've been a lifelong Star Wars fan, or at least for as long as I can remember. And, I've always been a huge fan of narrative roleplay. Are you seeing where this is going yet?

...A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Welcome to X-Wing! We're a fully literate, fully english Star Wars text roleplay that is heavily inspired by the legends novel series of the same name, as well as various pieces of air/spacecraft related media, particularly games that fall into the arcade dogfighter category. Indeed, we are heavily powered by the rule of cool and character development through and through! Woe, thine whom write orders of battle and adheres to strict milsim limitations. The joy, fantasy, and whimsy of a true Science-Fantasy writing experience be upon ye.

Our story begins in 0BBY, right after the destruction of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station above the Gas Giant of Yavin. Our heroes, you, are what remains of Blue and Green Squadrons, desperately fleeing from an Empire hellbent on delivering vengeance against the terrorists responsible for the destruction of their superweapon. A tattered fighter squadron made up of rookie pilots and traumatized survivors, will you be able to regroup, gain your bearings, and take the fight back to the Empire? Only time will tell, I suppose. Canon characters and plot do exist in this roleplay, but will be unavailable to play. We are telling our own little story here, after all.
