The year is 1932, And In the bustling city of Lavender River, North Carolina. As the Great War fades into memory, the prohibition is showing signs of fading, and the economy is showing no signs of recovery; things aren’t looking great.

People keep their heads down, and many still turn to other methods to keep themselves and their families afloat.

But for others, crime and poverty are the least of their problems.

People go missing in the woods, others swear they’ve seen pale figures hanging around speakeasies, drinking crimson wine. Men in nice suits carrying guns, who are neither the local crime families nor the dry agents everyone knew to avoid.

Strange things are happening in Lavender River.
