Durch einen Ausbruch von Wandas Chaosmagie wird die Realität auf der Erde verändert. Vergangenheit und Gegenwart verschmelzen miteinander, ganze Städte verwandeln sich in vergangene Zeitalter und ein rotes Hex breitet sich über den Planeten aus. Nur wenige Orte wie Salem, Kamar-Taj oder Asgard bleiben durch andere Magien geschützt.
Während Helden und Schurken versuchen, mit dem Chaos auf der Erde umzugehen, entsteht außerhalb des Planeten eine weitere Bedrohung. Im Sonnensystem herrscht seit Jahrhunderten ein Krieg um die Kräfte der Planeten. Das geschwächte Königreich des Jupiters versucht andere Welten an sich zu reißen, um zu überleben. Nach einer Katastrophe wird die skrupellose Thronerbin Cressida Arlindor zur Königin gekrönt, während Serena, die Prinzessin des Mondes, zur Erde flieht.
Als Cressida die starke Chaosmagie auf der Erde spürt, reist sie ebenfalls dorthin, ohne zu wissen, dass sich ihre Feindin bereits auf dem Planeten befindet. Nun treffen Magie, kosmische Mächte und eine zerfallende Realität aufeinander — und niemand weiß, ob die Erde dieses Chaos überleben wird.

In the popular opinion of an ever-growing multiverse, this matter could not be destroyed but only transferred. A simple universal law most were taught as children. Though, in reality, this was nothing but a false ideal, one that bloomed from fear and ignorance. And soon the multiverse was cruelly forced to realize that the only law that matters is that where there is creation, there is also destruction. In what would momentarily be known as the "End of Time," two anti-matter waves would simultaneously appear, destroying the entire multiverse in mere seconds. The once life-filled space soon became nothing but an empty abyss. Though as the waves collided, with destruction once again came life. Amidst the chaos, a new world was formed, a world for The Damned.

The death of Spider-Man has forced tensions to subside... for now. The Avengers are back together, but tensions still plague the superhero community.

As he's collecting the pawns for his board, he has his sights set on Nick Fury's position as Director. Maybe more if he can manage it.

The Guardians of the Galaxy and their friends are led out deep into space after learning some distressing news from Adam Warlock about Ultron's activities. As they attempt to save the day, more secrets of dead space are discovered and what they learn may tear them apart.
