Years after the original DigiDestined saved the digital world, it is once again in peril by more evil forces who want to enslave and take over the digital world. However, a new generation of the DigiDestined is summoned and called upon to rescue the digital world and stop the evil forces. They were all individually summoned through portals from their hometowns, but landing in different areas of the digital world, not knowing where they are at first. The DigiDestined are not alone, though. With many generations of the digital monsters (called Digimon) by their side, they can all join forces and work together to save the digital world.
