After the split of the Avengers in 2016, S.H.I.E.L.D concocted a plan for a new generation of avengers.

Over the next few decades, S.H.I.E.L.D worked tirelessly on a new facility, which was built in a remote and classified location.

S.H.I.E.L.D did not discriminate when they recruited it’s next generation. Some were scouted, some were trained internally over the years, others were picked off the street for their potential. Some were even recommended by former heroes themselves— or children of said heroes.

Each admitted student had a choice in joining the project, whether bribed or threatened, the choice was still their own to make.

The Year is now 2040 and S.H.I.E.L.D has begun its next generation secret program dubbed **Project Lotus**
