Preface:
AAO is an 18+ server with a majority neurodivergent and queer populace. We made this server as a safe space for ourselves, and want to extend that offer of a safe space to others. We value openness and inclusivity above all, and strive to keep our community a place of shared creativity and growth.

AAO currently has many npcs open and several backgrounds/origins open! Some that are taken are even open to multiples! Like our Tabris cousins <3
Our Warden, Hawke, Inky, and Rook are all currently set in stone, the roles having been taken on by some lovely writers who are eager to move on the plots for the four games.
Our post length ranges from banter style to longform, and we urge you to write at whatever length you're comfortable with.
One thing we'd also like to establish is that Dragon Age is, indeed, a dark - high fantasy set world, and some of us do like to explore these themes. It will be done in a civil manner and will mostly be kept behind closed doors in private threads, but know beforehand that this server is not an "always cupcakes and rainbows" enjoying group and we will not be changing that.

I just have to say that this is one of my absolute favorite role-playing servers that ive joined on nearly any platforms EVERRR. From the moment I joined I had certainly felt welcomed by the other members, and it is a very positive environment since ive been in there. The other members are a very sweet group of people, and everyone certainly takes the time to talk with one another and do all that they can to make sure everyone is included! (which, kudos, because of things such as different timezones and work/schooling times).
I've had nothing but a positive experience since joining this, and if people are looking for a dragon age server that is still fresh yet has loads of opportunities to start up new and fun roleplays, I would certainly say that this is the right server to do it!

Good server and people but...

it's locked behind a clique, and honestly if they don't think you fit their little group, you're nothing but an outsider and you WILL be ignored as I have when i told them I felt like an outside because I didn't fit their little group. The hours spent on your OC? DOESN'T MATTER, they only care if you fit 3-4 peoples vibes. It's almost like this with all of the DA servers except a certain few i've stumbled upon.
The people are nice, and don't deserve any hate, but the vibes and environment they bring NEED to be address, hell I even addressed it and I got IGNORED for 6 hours and the only reason why the owner responded was because i said something.
I think if they expanded their roleplay group PAST friends they've known for a long time they can be a good server, but for now the server is just a circlejerk (no insult intended) and if you don't fit their vibe you're an outsider. They have a chance for redemption, and I really hope this review can change them for the better, but if they do please adddd meeeeuuhhh :)) thank you.
