Welcome to the Shadows House!
The Shadows House is a huge mountainside manor. In which Shadows live as nobles, and Living Dolls are forced to serve them. Shadows are pitch black in appearance and emit a thick soot that dirties everything around them. Therefore, Living Dolls, dolls that are made to perfectly resemble humans and their Shadow Master, serve as their faces. They are meant to copy every expression, and are only deemed as a vessel for the Shadows. The Living Dolls also serve as maids for their Shadow, as well the entire manor. Living Dolls can also take on other various jobs such as: chefs, medics, and bodyguards. The Living Dolls eventually are made to take a test called The Debut, in which they will be evaluated on how well they can work as a Shadows face, and be of service to the Shadows House. Anyone who isn't helpful to the Shadows House is discarded.
So, will you be a Living Doll forced to work for the Shadows? Perhaps you'll grow into your own person, and want to stand up against the Shadows and cause change, or maybe you will serve the Shadows House with upmost loyalty. In which case you can grow up to be a Senior Face, leading a squad of younger Living Dolls, or a Star Bearer, who controls parts of the entire Children's Wing along with your Shadow Master. Maybe this won't be you, and you'll be a Shadow working under Lord Grandfather. You might come to realize that this hierarchy is wrong, and decide to work undercover to take down the very structure that houses you. Or you could be hungry for power, and want to work your way up through the ranks to Grandfather's Wing, then up the 3 floors until eventually, and only then, you can serve right by Lord Grandfather's side. You could even play out both of these stories simultaneously. The choice is yours to make.
