Legacy of Ocoyo

Uncountable millennia ago, supernatural forces clashed in the ancient world. The divine with the primordial, the unholy with the mortal. Bloodshed is the very brick and mortar in which the world was built upon. But very few can recall the names of those days. It is only through withering books and fireside myths that the mortals remember the ages of ancients and old, but they can still feel the effects of what happened. In the aftermath of The Golden Age’s downfall, and the massacres that followed, one young empire has stood tall in their attempt to carve out a place in this world; Ocoyo. A candle in the dark, Ocoyo has taken a cosmopolitan stance in its home continent of Verterom, and their new king, after the untimely death of his father, works to establish as many methods of opportunity for his people as possible, even if it results in a volatile culture. But, in a world of darkness, trying to get by attracts the ire of fate itself, with countless horrors waking once more to stomp out this last chance for peace. Each day is a struggle to survive, against the outside world, and within the walls of the capital city. Now a question rises. When the only way to survive in this world is to stride for your best interests, or to sacrifice yourself for the collective good, how will you live your life?
