A dystopian America, now called Gilead, taken over by a religious group "Sons of Jacob," this world views women as inferior and men in all positions of power. Women are assigned roles while men get to be, basically, free. What will you be? A commander? A wife? A handmaid? Part of Mayday? A refugee in Canada? We can't wait to find out.

The lore is based in the TV show more than the book. The only thing different is none of the canon characters exist to avoid their plot armor. The story is ours to write, not prewritten for us.
