This leaf-bare has been a stifling one, a true blemish to the Clans. Rather than just cold, it brought with it a series of most unusual murders.

ThunderClan is left vulnerable after the presumed loss of their medicine cat, their only option to push through leaf-bare with their inexperienced medicine apprentices. Meanwhile, RiverClan, growing increasingly desperate, finds prey drifting to ThunderClan's territory -- Sunningrocks -- after the peculiar sound of thrashing in the river. Powerless to stop it, they must choose between potential war or starvation. And WindClan, though thriving, is unsettled. The death of a beloved warrior has sparked suspicion, with RiverClan the likely culprit. Yet many, even among their leadership, cannot account for their whereabouts.

Every Clan has a part to play in the ongoing tragedy. A decision, initially made in the name of justice, has bound the Clans together and spiralled into something that threatens to ruin each and every one of them.
